Apparently I just got an infraction for recommending that brand to you. I dont know why really, makes no sense. Cant PM a mod about it either, but you can do your own research I guess since I am not allowed to share any knowledge here.

Search for information on EPA and DHA in fish oil and how much you need and the benefits.

Have you tried flavored fish oil? I find that capsules are too big (i.e., like horse pills) and they tend to give me fish burps. Orang and lemon flavor are both reasonable (read: you can gag them back without much problem).

Most people take fish oil for their joints because they dry out on most oral steroids.

EFA's (essential fatty acids) are found in fish oil, and they do lower your bodies ability to retain fat however it is easy to take too much. (Which takes away it's ability to lower natural body fat)

It's better to find EFA's in natural sources. Almonds, and salmon are great. If you are taking a supplement, just take half the recommended dose and take the rest in normal food.

I take fish oil. Ask the pharmacist as to what a couple of good brands to buy. I could recommend these brands but as someone else has written in this thread I could get a ban of the post deleted.

Taking fish oil will help your body lubricate the joints, your hair and your skin will feel amazing after about 3 months of taking the oil regularly.

Just take Omega 3 supplements as we get enough Omega 6 and Omega 9 in our diets from other types of fat. Having too much of 6 and 9 causes other problems if there isn't enough Omega 3 in the body.

I have friends and family members who are pharmacists and doctors so the advice I got is from them.

Almonds actually only contain trace amounts of Omega-3s and the amount of almonds you would need to intake to get your dailies of Omega-3 would quickly erase the benefits of the Omega-3 (i.e., you'd have to take in way too many calories and fat). Salmon (and most fish in general), while a good source of Omega-3, is not going to be consumed on a daily basis, nor should it. Consuming too much salmon or fish can have negative effects because of mercury. While the levels of mercury in fish probably aren't enough to impact a grown male, it should still be consumed in moderation.

The purported health effects of Omega-3 extends well beyond just joint lubrication. There is evidence (and counter evidence) that it aids with fat loss, it is essential to circulatory health, it reduces inflammation, and it is excellent for your skin and hair.

Omega-3 is a staple in anyone's diet, and fish oil is often the most effective way of meeting your daily needs.

Depends, if you have fish in your diet then really there isnt much need for them unless you are doing excessive training. If like me, you dont eat fish, then they are crucial in your diet as contain EFA's and help your body digest protein into your system well.

Lol... fish oil doesn't have any kind of steroids that I know off.

Anyway, they act as lubrication for your joints (think the tin man from the wizard of oz, needs that oil bro). Also they improve cognitive function.

I've been supplementing fish oil for around 3 months now (around 500 mg EPA/day). It helped clear up most of my acne (combined with other medications, and the acne wasn't very bad in the first place) and improved my immunity (I didn't even have a minor cold since I take it).

I use fish oil supplements daily, and eat fish whenever I can or twice or more a week.
