Eat the correct food that will help you in losing weight and getting into the shape.Prefer having light and clean food.Avoid fats as much as you can.Be physically active and go for spots that will surely help you in losing unnecessary fats.

I defiantly try CrossFit out and go on a Paleo diet, it works on me. I'm pretty toned and lost over 30lbs doing it. Don't be intimidated by the intensity of the workouts, you get better over time and the workouts can be modded to your ability level. It's like a community, you'll make lots of friends and did I mention hot chicks usually frequent CrossFit, lol. Good luck

A year ago, I had dropped fifty pounds in two months, and I kept it off easy while getting into even better shape. Here are my secrets:

    1. Diet

Eliminate all grains, all carbohydrates, all breads, all fruits, all drinks (excluding water and unsweetened teas) and all fatty foods from your diet. You should only be eating meats, legumes, and vegetables. Salsa is good. In fact, the spicier the better. Spicier foods cause you to burn more calories.

In the mornings, ALWAYS eat breakfast, and do so within a half an hour of waking up. The best breakfast is egg whites, black beans, and salsa. One last thing, you need to drink a litter of ice water before eating breakfast. It kicks up your metabolism by 30%. Not only that, constantly drinking water will shed all of your water weight right off.

On a certain day every week, you should also designate a "cheat day". This is where you dump the diet and eat as much of your favorite junk foods as you can. Stick with the morning routine, however, but eat to the bursting point for the rest of the day. Don't worry, this will all go away the next day, and you will be dropping weight again in an instant. This is to mentally keep you on track and to physically prevent your body from trying to conserve calories due to your limited diet.

One last note: you can eat as much of the meats, legumes, and vegetables as you can. It's all a go.

    2. Exercise

I only exercised for twenty minutes every other day. I did things that would activate my core and my thighs. Working these areas zaps the fat and pulls the skin tight, making you look more streamline and in a better shape.

You're always welcome to do more things and adjust your workout schedule. My goal was only to drop weight. I put on muscle latter.

    3. Aquatics

When you take a shower, always make sure it is a cold one. You ever wonder why Michael Phelps could eat 15,000 calories without becoming overweight? It's because the pool is cold to the point where not only is he burning calories through exercise, but he is also burning calories through trying to maintain his body temperature.

Cold icings on your back also helps a lot. In addition, you should avoid the heat when you can. Remember, ice is nice.

If you stick with all of this, you should be golden for rapid and noticeable weight loss.

As a fitness coach I'll confirm the advice here about cutting out wheat / breads and processed carbs.

Also strongly consider cutting out dairy products, as they are also sugar.

But the most important thing with diet is what to ADD, not just what to eliminate.

Make sure you are including plenty of dark green leafy veg into your system. The best sources are:

    Spinach
    Broccolli
    Kale

These foods will give you more alkaline balance which helps your recovery from workous and also helps the body metabolize fat.

As for the HIIT Vs slow cardio debate, the key is to blend the TWO

Perform 20 minute HIIT sessions, which releases free fatty acids into your blood.

Then, at the end of the workout, perform slow, steady, easy cardio for an extra 10-20 minutes. This is more effective at burning off the fatty acids once they are in your bloodstream.

As with most things in life - when there is a debate over two extremes, the answer is always somewhere in the middle...

    Good luck.

PM if you have any further questions. My job is helping guys get lean and into atlhetic shape (without having to play a sport)
