So you want to get in shape to help both your inner and outer game? We,, im going to break it down into a simple step by step guide to aid you in your goal.
1) you need lots of water. Water will keep you full and of course is healthy for you
2) throw all your junk food or snack in the garbage. Yes, even that little bag of cookies you keep tucked away.
3) get a simple calorie counting app like calorie counter or myfitnesspal (they are free) and set your goal so that you only want to lose about 1-2 pounds a week. That is a healthy range and wont make you start a crash diet. Crash dieting never works and you will be back in the position you used to be in within months.
4)fill that fridge full of vegetables, slow digesting carbs (brown rice and sweet potatoes), and plenty of white meat (chicken, fish, turkey). Stay away from processed meat and deli meat as much as possible.
5)Start a weight training program at your local gym. They probably have a beginners class you can take or there is bodybuilding websites you can go to to give you an idea on how to start. A whey protein shake after your workout will aid in the muscle building.
6) Cardio should never been done in excess. I know once you start losing weight you think if you just do more running that you will lose more fat. The truth of the matter is that the slower you go the more fat you burn and the faster you go the more you burn carb storages in your body.
